Quality indicators.
A quality indicator is a numerical measure used to assess the quality and safety of the healthcare provided.
The purpose of a quality indicator is to examine whether the quality of care and treatment complies with accepted standards, but it is important that those professionals who provide health services present quality indicators that take into account the services they provide. In this way, it is possible to evaluate the service, promote reforms within the health service and strengthen the safety and quality of the service.
It is important that quality indicators are visible so that anyone who wants to can evaluate the quality of the service and make decisions based on an informed and professional basis. We will publish information on the Birth Center's quality indicators annually as soon as we have cared for at least 100 women.
