"I actually did a complete 180° in Denmark when I switched from languages and business to midwifery. I felt passionate about wanting to work more closely with people and find a stronger purpose in what I was doing. The job of a midwife appealed to me very strongly. My interest in women's and sexual health, as well as my innate curiosity, later led me to the menopause. I felt like I, as both a woman and a midwife knew so little about this important period of life that all women go through. My master's study on women's experiences of menopause confirms women's need for education and assistance. I want to meet this need and do my part to promote health and improve the quality of life of women during menopause. "
